C's in last semester before transfer (admitted). Is my admission in danger?

Hi everyone.

I am taking 25 units this year as an engineering major. I took that many because I wanted to transfer as soon as possible (which in hindsight is not a good idea!). I am getting 2 B's and 4 C's (4 of these classes are either science or math classes). I also have been working, so all in all I had underestimated my abilities to conquer this semester (I took 20 units each semester before in which I did pretty well on!).

So after this semester ends, I will have a cumulative GPA of 3.1, and a semester GPA of 2.4.
According to my Transfer Condition, I am alright to be in that range (You know the deal: 3.0 minimum cumulative, and 2.0 for the last semester).

However, I am of course still worried about my recent admission to UCI for the upcoming fall. Even though I am basically fulfilling the transfer condition, do you think UCI will rescind my admission as soon as they get hold of my transcripts? I will talk to the UCI counselor of course ASAP as well.

Any help is very much appreciated! (And please, do not worry about my choice of major. I am taking it because I usually am really good in science and math subjects. However the overload this semester just kills my time to devote my studies to each class individually and does not reflect my true potential in these classes.)

It’s definitely possible but you won’t really know til you talk to a counselor.

you have already answered your own question on the middle part and i think you know you will be fine lol. Don’t worry you will be fine, only Fs and Ds are considered bad. relax and chill :)

Thanks you guys for the replies.
@Ferrari: That’s a relief to hear. That’s what I consoled myself throughout the semester lol. What made me worry is that my grades this semester is quite a drop from what I usually have (Getting A’s and B’s in the past semesters , with no C’s). I’m still can’t shake my worry about this.

I am transferring to UCSD. Provisional contract states 3.0 overall and 2.0 spring.

I called them and asked them about this and they said that the UC system MUST HONOR their contract. If you have any doubts, call them. They will tell you the same

oh. alright, thanks for the info! This makes me feel better for sure, because i know I won’t ever take 25 units again and will definitely be able to handle these classes better! Hopefully, anyone who had the same kind of doubts will read this!
