<p>CS major in UCSC versus CS in Purdue? Is it worth paying out of state tuition fee? Any options?</p>

<p>If you end up going to UCSC for CS try to declare your major (it is a process that you go to the Engineering Advising Dept. to do and involves filling out some forms). Try to do this as soon as you can - either first or second quarter if possible. There may be a gpa requirement so the sooner you can do it, the better.</p>
<p>What kind of grades/ sat scores do you need to be accepted into ucsc as a cs major? thx.</p>
