Would taking CS9C with CS61B be a smart idea? I'm taking CS61C next semester and I think getting some exposure to C would help me out. But since Java and C are similar languages, would I get confused between the two? Thanks!

Nope, you won’t be confused. However, it’s a waste of time. If you’re up to the task, you can learn C (and C++) by yourself quite quickly. Plus, there’s a lot of CS61C people who have never done C, so you won’t be alone. The course takes this into consideration, and learning C is part of CS61C.

So, take CS61B for now, and grab yourself a good C book. Redo your 61B assignments in C++ if you have time.

Oh okay, thanks! Do you know anything about the Python self-paced class?
