CSE Acceptance for Fall 2016

My son just received his acceptance to Univ Minnesota CSE. No email received. We had logged into the tracker around 5pm and there was no update. We logged in at 6:45 (CST) minutes ago and there was a congratulations message that he had been selected for admission to the CSE.

He applied in July as this was his #1 choice. He wants to major in EE or Computer Engineering.

Activities: Band, Band, Band, Mathletes, Boy Scouts (Eagle Scout), Engineering Club, Project Lead the Way

He has also applied to: Purdue, Ohio State, Case Western, UW Madison (dad is alum). Accpted into Iowa State and Univ Iowa (as safety schools).

Congratulations! My son also just within the past few hours was accepted to CSE as well. The website says a package is in the mail. My son is interested in Computer Science, and is from California. He has a 32 ACT, a 3.8 GPA, and is at a big school with many APs - he had 5 plus 5 college classes, and is taking 5 more this year. His activities include fencing, computer club (founder), all kinds of coding contests, Chess Club (VP), Ultimate Frisbee Club §, and Robotics team.
