The early registration deadline is in two days, something I just discovered. I’m not sure how involved this application process is…Is it possible for me to meet the early deadline (November 15) or should I stop worrying and just get it in with FAFSA.
The website says it takes something like four to six weeks to send a CSS application, but that means you would have to have a CSS done in October. Is that realistic?
I’m so lost…

what is the css application? you have me worried as well

I'mworried about taht as well. I didn't think you could even fill out the CSS in November because don't you need to do taxes first? My guidance counselor said if you filled it out, something about them reviewing it but returning it when tax season comes around so you can do something with that. I'm confused with the whole process

You can't file the FAFSA until January; that's when the 2008-2009 form comes out. However, you can file the CSS Profile whenever you want. You estimate your income and other tax amounts and send in it. Then when you do your taxes, you print out a copy of the Profile and make any necessary changes (no, you can't do this on line), and send it snail mail to the colleges you've applied to.

My dad filled it out last night and sent it. IDK if they'll get it in time, but my application was late too and they didn't seem to mind, because, I missed about a week of application time before the deadline - I live in Southern California and had to evacuate for the fires.
