I had to make estimates when filling out the CSS profile, but now my parents have their tax returns filed. I've heard that for some colleges you don't have to print out a copy and make corrections if your FAFSA has updated information and colleges can look the financial forms that you have to send them and make the necessary changes. But I've also heard that some schools require that you mail a copy with corrections anyway. SO, my question is, would I have to mail something in for MIT and Stanford? The numbers weren't that off, but I noticed some mistakes, though the same questions were in the FAFSA and I answered them correctly.

Call the financial aid offices at those schools and ask.

Yeah, the problem is I can’t call during their office hours.

Send an email.

The thing is, that any information an anonymous person a message board gives you isn’t that reliable when it comes to a very targeted, college-specific question. It’s not like “how do I submit my FAFSA to more than 10 schools?” and similar general questions that get asked here every 15 minutes, and with which many people have direct experience. Even then sometimes the answers aren’t totally correct or helpful, but there are enough people to take a stab at it that a consensus will emerge.

In your case, you need to ask the FA offices at those colleges directly.
