Here is the cost of attendance for Chico State:

Costs will depend upon if either campus is commutable and where you plan to live. On-campus, Off campus or with parents along with any financial aid you are eligible to receive.
I suggest you visit both to see which school might fit you better. Chico state does a better social vibe than Fresno state but that is up to each individual to decide for themselves.
Good luck on your decision.
Chico is a much nicer area than Fresno. Whether or not they’re cheaper is up to you to figure out with simple research. If you’ve already been admitted to both don’t you have fin aid packages?
Okay thanks for the info but what school has a better Agriculture program
What do you mean by better?
Like you know how some schools have a better business program or engineering program like cal poly slo. Which one of those 2 have a better Ag program and which one would be perfect for internships
They are both strong in ag and are both surrounded by big agricultural areas - and lots of ag businesses big and small. Chico has more orchards (a shocking variety of nuts and fruits) as well as a lot of rice. Fresno has more cattle, grapes and annual crops (tomatoes, soy, etc) - I image there is no shortage of pot produced near both. Chico has a more reliable water supply but, the drought is over (for now) . Cost of living is pretty similar (cheap for CA). Fresno has D1 sports if you care about that. Chico has a much more active student population and probably a higher fun quotient.
Visit both and pick the one that works best for you.
They are both good for ag. Chico’s program is probably more focused on the Sacramento Valley, while Fresno’s program is probably more focused on the San Joaquin Valley. So one might be better than the other, if you have a preferred location for living/working after graduation.
The schools have different atmospheres. Fresno is large and urban, which may sound more exciting, but it also means that there will be lots of commuters. This tends to limit social activity in the evenings or weekends, because many students leave campus to go home. Chico is located in a friendly small town which is relatively remote. The isolation may seem unappealing, but it also means that students stick around campus in the evenings and weekends, because it’s too far to go home. So there’s a livelier social scene.
