Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any input on how hard is it to get into the Engineering PhD program for a local in CSULB.
I have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a GPA of 3.0
I dont think I am a strong candidate at the moment due to not having a masters or a gpa over 3.5. Should i bother to apply? Im thinking i might have a shot due to so little people who apply for PhDs. any input?
Start with a masters degree. The Ph.D. program at CSULB is a relatively specific program (Engineering and Industrial Applied Mathematics) and is joint with the Claremont Graduate Universities. If you want a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, you might wish to improve your qualifications with a M.S. form a CSU.
Do you two mind telling me how campus life of CSULB since I am interested in it.
CSU Long beach has a good campus life, there is lots of resturants around. the college is by the beach. i would go there
