CSU Transfer

Hi, I am currently a freshman at San Jose State University. I don't really like the school so I am looking to transfer. I was wondering if anyone here can look at my stats and tell me my chances. Also, if anyone has successfully transfered CSU to CSU or CSU to UC, what were your stats? The schools I am looking at right now are Cal Poly SLO and UC Davis. My major is math.

For Cal Poly:
-I will have completed all the prereqs for my major and two more upper division math courses in addition.
-I will have completed the GE breadth here at San Jose, but some of my classes aren't the same as the GE breadth for Cal Poly. Does that count as completing it?
-My GPA is, and should still be, a 3.66 or higher.

For Davis:
-All of my classes seem to be directly transferable and I will have also completed all of their prereqs.

Thanks for the help everyone.

your best bet is to transfer back to a cc for a couple semesters and apply from there.
counselors are far more helpful and you will get priority for uc’s
I was in the same boat as you last year lol

I am already in upper division math and community colleges don’t offer those courses so it’s not an option for me. Any other suggestions?

wait wut?
why would you shut down cc’s just because you have some upper division math done?
I had math 30, 31, and 32 done before I came back…but I know from experience that every single one of them will articulate for Davis.
Your other options are not worth considering as your chances from csu to csu or csu to uc are slim to none.

Because the math classes I am scheduled to take next year are not offered at community college. Thanks for the input though
