I know CSULB is going to be sending out acceptances next month. I just want to have an idea if I will get in. I’m really stressing over it and reading all these forums and it seems that they’re exceptance is a little skewed. Some people with high GPAs and high test scores are getting rejected and people with low GPA and low test scores are getting accepted. I have a 3.5 GPA ( from 10th-12th grade, including 5 AP and honors classes) and I scored an 1170/1600 on the SAT and 21 on the ACT. I applied under the environmental studies and policies major and I am in state but not local.
Did you calculate your index score? What is your number?
It is hard to chance CSULB because of the Long Beach Promise. CSULB gives priority to Long Beach students by guaranteeing admission to LBUSD grads with minimal requirements. This may be why you are seeing lower scores get accepted. Your SAT is in the average range, ACT is lower so I assume they will use your SAT. GPA average if a weighted 3.7. Your don’t say if your GPA is weighted or unweighted
Hang in there. Only one more month.
My gpa unweighted is only a 3.2 , weighted is a 3.7 and CSU gpa is a 3.5. My index is a 3970. thank you so much for your input:)
I believe the minimum index is 3200 so you are on the right track!
You have a solid chance at an acceptance. Your EI is within range. Good Luck.
wait i have a questions are they going to be sending acceptance letters only for high school graduates?
@Michellecm most of the applicant will be high school students so that does not make much sense. They will send acceptances out to those who applied - grad or student.
I am in college and I applied as a transfer. Ive had a hard time looking for acceptance stats due to the major I have (Social Work) @LKnomad
@michellecm you might try looking at their institutional research pages. There is a lot of info there.
