idk, i mean idc’

That’s awesome!
Oh and I didn’t apply for Psych, I actually applied for Industrial Design lol. I was debating between psychology and some kind of design program when I was applying for schools, and I guess I chose Industrial Design for Long Beach lol

Well, still no decision at LB for daughter but she did get admitted to SDSU. If any of you are applying to both LB and SD here is the webportal where you can check your status.

Aww still no decision? Did she call and check her MyCSULB account?

hey i called and it sad “Admission decision has been mad” are they telling i got rejected? or is there still a chance of hope

They didn’t say what the admission decision was? It usually says it right after saying “Admission decision has been made.” Try calling again

nope they told me to call there enrollment number service, sigh

Oh, really? Did you call that number? Maybe they’re still deciding on your admission status

they close at 5… its 5:07 LOL, i just want the honesty if i got rejected or accepted instead of them building the tension. jeez haha

Pretty much people who have gotten “a decision has been madr call enrollment service/random number to discuss/ for more info” have been rejections,

Some people just haven’t gotten it yet maybe idunno,

I still have the same thing. It’s so depressing!!! :/

You guys have all the rest of March to wait out before getting worried. xD

kagw,

This should make you feel better. Daughter has not heard from Long Beach either and was getting pretty depressed. Then she was accepted at San Diego, however her SAT scores were rather low. She’s never been a good test taker. So although she carries a 3.9 GPA, her SAT’s were mid 1300’s with the essay. Without the essay she was in the mid 900’s. She did score well enough to exempt herself from the remedial English/math classes on the ACT. So…this means that she got into SDSU with a rather average or might I say below average SAT score.

I thought it would be harder for her to get into SDSU. From what I’ve read, LB gets the highest amount of apps, so it just takes time to sort through them all and make a decision. So don’t get depressed. Like Power of One said, you still have the entire month of March. Take it as a GOOD sign that you haven’t been rejected.

Hello everyone,

I have spent the last 20 minutes or so reading all of your posts on here and have learned a LOT about CSULB. Thanks so much for all the info. I am technically not class of 2015 since I am a transfer student, but I hope ya’ll don’t mind if I participate in the discussion anyway since I too am awaiting my admissions decision.

1) What is this phone number that everyone can call to hear whether they have been admitted or not?

2) Can I apply for housing even if I have not been admitted?

Our pleasure Lexa. I made this thread just so others would get info like me that I needed desperately. Always better to hear from a student themselves over any article.

the number is 562-985-2500.

And as for that, im not sure. I suppose you can try by putting in your campus id and new pw after activating your account, but probly if youre not admitted yet it bars you, so as not to waste the 400$ non-refundable deposit idk,

Lexa I too am a transfer student waiting to hear back. I’ve called the above number everyday for the last week and every time I call I hear nothing about my admittance. The only thing it tells me is that I have all necessary paperwork turned in. Nothing is stated as far as pending, acceptance or rejection. Does anyone know if I am missing something? Maybe I am not going to the right area when I am calling?

breezy,
Go back to the year ago threads in this forum. I remember that there was quite a bit of postings from transfers regarding their admissions process.

Well, I got waitlisted at Cal Poly Pomona, sooooo I just sent in my housing application for CSULB!

CSULB!

Ahaha more the merrier.

On that note, still waiting for my actual acceptance letter sigh.

Really, they haven’t sent it yet? I got it in the mail literally the day after I called to check my status. I kind of wish I wouldn’t have called, so it could have been a surprise!

Does anyone know what kind of school Long Beach is viewed as? Do people see it as a really easy school to get into, like CSU San Bernardino, or is it viewed as a fairly selective school? [compared to the other CSU’s and UC’s]
