<p>I'm a high school senior who has just been accepted to both Cal Poly Pomona and CSULB for graphic design. I am also currently awaiting responses from SDSU and Cal Poly SLO. My ultimate question is, which of these schools would be best for my major? I want to become a graphic designer some day, and <em>may</em> consider also majoring in computer programming so that I may secure a job in the future. Additionally, which CSU is considered "the best?" Not sure what employers look for in your r</p>
<p>Why’d you apply to these schools if you wanted a liberal environment? I would’ve looked at Humboldt, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, or an actual liberal arts college. </p>
<p>If you want to do computer programming, hands down SLO and Pomona. </p>
<p>Science and “hands on” activity is very much a Cal Poly thing. I think employers care where you went to an extent because people from whatever college have usually been good employees. Cal Poly’s have really good rep with industry.</p>
<p>I’m a math major at Cal Poly Pomona. Everyone else I know is an engineering major. It’s campus is pretty active during the day and completely dead on the weekends. It’s urban.</p>
