CSULB

I'm currently a junior in high school and CSULB is my dream school. Do I have any chances with a GPA of 3.00 and SAT score of 1200. I've taken honors classes both my freshman and sophomore year and am/will take AP classes my junior and senior year.

All the CSUs except SLO use the same basic criteria for admission. You must complete the A-G course list with C or better grades. They only look at your M&R SAT and calculate your GPA based on A-G classes taken in grades 10-11. They also drop +/- from the calculation.
They multiply your GPA by 800 and add your SAT to create an Index which ranks applicants.

The threshold varies a bit for some majors but, it is typically around 3800.

Calculate your CSU GPA here: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

and your CSU index here: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

It looks like you might be a little short but, calculate it yourself and see how you stack up…

Some other, slightly less selective schools to consider are - Sonoma and for most programs CP Pomona - You may also qualify for Fullerton and Chico.

Good luck.
