We have received your application…

Finally got the rejection notice.

@EricPbr @lynsnicket yes, it just means that without counting your in-progress units you are a sophomore. Once you complete this semester and send in your final transcripts it will switch over to Junior status. congratulations!

Does anyone know what kind of transfer opportunities such as programs and stuff are there for students at CSUN? Been trying to search for different programs on the site but it’s given me none :)) I know there’s a tone of clubs and there’s an honors society for transfer students but what more is there? Study abroad, etc? My school’s CSUN peer mentor left for another college so I’m stuck :))

Has anyone got their acceptance package yet? I live in socal but have not got anything in the mail from csun yet.

@schrutedollas I was accepted about two weeks ago and haven’t received anything yet. (Or any financial aid news.)

@lynsnicket I just got my package in the mail today, I was accepted like a month ago lol. They may take a while.

I’m still pending…

Well update to the required “updated transcript” story. Apparently in December for some schools, they will not send updated transcript until the following January. I had to send another transcript in to prove I’ve done my golden 4’s and necessary classes to transfer. Another 2-3 weeks to wait I guess

Got denied. Never sent in a copy of my official transcripts when they asked me to.

Got prov. accepted

@unpaidguidence19 what program did you apply for specifically in the CTVA? Is it easy to be accepted if you’re local and have all the pre req done? Does the GPA really matter?

@s0yymilk I applied to the program as a TV production major but midway through the first semester, I changed to screenwriting. If you are local, getting into CTVA (omitting film) should be easy as long as you meet the minimum GPA requirements. I only had 1 of the 4 lower division (or prereqs) completed when I applied and completed an additional class during the summer before I transferred. I recommend taking as many as possible before transferring, but overall, if you’re local, you should be fine.

@HarleyTheQuinn do you mean things that are exclusive to transfer students or organizations in general that are transfer student “friendly” options? There are a ton of clubs, the greek life is pretty cool, and I think anyone can study abroad as long as they meet the requirements. My first semester as a transfer, I went greek and next semester I will be joining another club on top of my GLO. the school is very welcoming to transfers!

What are my chances if I have a 2.8 gpa majoring in psychology and I’m local?
