CU Boulder Class of 2025 Regular Decision

Quiet as of March 16

For EA I was able to ask an online person when they were coming out and it was accurate. Anyone try doing that this year?

I’m thinking Friday

It will be good to know finally! My son got into Mines and is waiting to see what happens with Boulder.

I agree - my D applied to an audition-based program that makes it impossible to meet the EA deadline. She passed the audition and should be admitted based on grades and test scores, but it feels like it’s taking forever! It’s much easier to wait for other schools that have announced a decision date vs. not knowing with CU.

So an applicant can pass the audition but potentially still not get in? That sounds like such a tease. Good to hear that your daughter’s grades and test scores shouldn’t make it a problem. I suppose one of us could just call admissions and see if they have a date set

Yup - every school is like this, need to be admitted twice - academically and for music. I would mainly like to see the financial offer, hopefully to get my kid more excited about CU, which I like for her. But while we wait, she’s getting attached to other places!

Any news on when RD is coming out?

I think if you email the admission group they will let you know the date the expect to release them. They have been responsive to me on other matters (hence why I don’t want to send them another email as I feel I becoming a bother). other schools have given the information when asked.

Nothing here.

By the way, I’m assuming you are from CT based on your name. I am as well, if you couldn’t tell by my name.

I called the office of admissions and they said that a few people might hear sooner if they applied way earlier than the deadline but they’re planning on releasing decisions to the whole group ON April 1st, not before. They explicitly stated that that’s when they would post the decisions.

Man thats far away. Does that mean those who applied ea and were deferred will hear sooner?

He made it sound like it’s possible, but it might be the people who applied ever so slightly late to early action and didn’t have their applications downloaded in time. The man with whom I spoke seemed confident that the very vast majority of students would hear back on the 1st, and that anything else was a special case. That may include deferred students, but my guess is that you shouldn’t count on it.

Yep!

Just got my decision!

Congratulations!

thanks!

The wait is over
sort of. My son received a decision today but is now on the waitlist - as opposed to the normal waiting he did from EA, then being postponed to RD
until today. We completely understand the situation with this year’s rise in applications. The good news is that with the rise in applications comes a rise in declines
so students on the waitlist have a good chance.
