For those of you wondering about the automatic engineering scholarships -

S19 received his engineering scholarship notification last night via email.

@agentdawn1 Same exact situation.

My son was accepted on this past Friday, January 11. Strange, but he didn’t get an email notice from CU, but just happened to check his application portal and saw the acceptance letter. He received the Chancellor’s Scholarship ($6,250 per year), got into the honors college for the Leeds undergraduate business program, and was invited to interview for the Leeds Scholars Program.

@twoinanddone Is the Engineering LLC the same as the Honors Engineering dorm?
What is best place to live for engineering students?

I think it is the same. The best place to live, IMO, is in the Kittredge engineering dorm or another Kittredge dorm. I’m not a big fan of Williams Village because of the buses but if your child likes to walk, it is walkable to the engineering side of campus and going home is downhill.

The engineering quad dorms are right on mail camp next to the engineering center. Best place for engineering students. Aden, Brackett, Cockerell.

@CU123 - what about Andrews (for honors engineering)? S19 has been invited to apply to honors engineering so was planning to request engineering quad for housing 1st choice and then if he makes it into honors would automatically be put into Andrews.

Yes if in engineering honors you have to live in Andrews.

Accepted!

Can anyone point me in the right direction for housing options to look at for my son. College of Arts & Sciences, Biological Sciences-Integrative Physiology program. What part of campus will these classes be held. Knowing this will help us choose the right residence hall for him. Thanks for the input.

My S has not heard anything yet either.

Son OOS accepted aerospace; accepted 12/11
Presidential scholarship and engineering dept scholarship
34 ACT
4.3 WGPA
Lots of robotics competition experience and leadership
Few other ECs (part-time job, 13 years martial arts)

Daughter OOS, admitted into College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. Does anyone have any advice on this program and the Honors Residential Academic Program at Smith Hall?

Yes the honors Arts and Sciences RAP is in Smith, and its in a decent location in the Kittredge Commons area.

I got an email today saying “thank you for applying for regular decision”… but I applied for Early Action and got no email about an update to my status which hasn’t changed on my portal either. So is it safe to say I was deferred or was it probably an accident or something?

Did you accidentally apply RD?

No I definitely did early action because I have emails confirming it and it says so on my common app, so I’m really confused

I got the same thing and was super confused too. I emailed my admissions councilor to see if it was a mistake or not. So i’m waiting to hear back from that today.

Has anyone accepted received snail mail yet? Accepted in the first big wave of decisions and haven’t gotten anything in the mail. Haha, I’m excited to hold up a #BoulderBound banner
