Just curious if anyone has heard back on the confusing “thank you for applying for regular decision” emails yet.
I’m pretty sure S19’s snail mail acceptance packet (large, black envelope) is here … I’ve grabbed it from the mailbox but will wait for him to open it. We are in CO, and his acceptance into Engineering was posted on the portal earlier this month. Hope that helps.
Was the engineering scholarship one that he did an additional application. My daughter is completing the application for honors first since it is due sooner. She was told the scholarship is not decided until after the due date.
S19’s engineering scholarship was automatic and he was notified via email. No snail mail yet.
I was also accepted on 1/11 and have not received my admission packet. Although I have not checked my mail yet today.
We haven’t received anything in the mail yet, just the acceptance online.
We are in Florida and still haven’t received the packet yet either. Am I correct that we can’t apply for housing until Feb. 4th? That’s what I read online, just thought it would be available to do as soon as you accept the offer. We accepted and sent the deposit on the 12th.
@caymangirl38 Yes that is correct. Feb 4 is the opening date for housing. Make sure u have your child’s portal all set up so u can log into housing. U have to confirm your identity key first. I confirmed this date with housing. Good luck. My S is coming from NJ. Arts & Sciences. Integrative Physiology. Aiming for Baker Residence.
how do you set up the portal? is it a different portal than the one where the acceptance decision is shown?
@lucyfc… Check your email for your IdentiKey log in. After my son was accepted, he received an email from CU with instructions on how to activate his IdentiKey. He actually had 2 emails, one with instructions on how to activate the IdentiKey and one with a 4 digit PIN number. I think for some students the pin is the last 4 digits of your SS#. My son was sent an alternate pin #. It was a different portal than the acceptance decision. Good luck!
Got financial aid package over night. S got $5,500 in loans…nothing else. We’re OOS so I wasn’t expecting much, but with an EFC of $20,000 a $2,000 or $3,000 grant would have been nice.
Movin on.
We got our package overnight, nothing. Why even bother with EFC numbers when they have yet to factor into a school my daughter has applied to.
I have a VERY low EFC and I got 21,000 loans/grants/work study. I know my family cannot afford this even with this aid. Is there anything that I can do. Boulder is one of my tops. After getting rejected from Miami yesterday this hurts even more.
Are you in-state Colorado?
No OOS NY
@gsbc12 Same here. NY. The truth is that Colorado needs to take care of Colorado kids. So if I were you, I would either appeal your aid (but don’t expect much change) or move on to your next choice school.
We’re moving on.
Good luck!
I have a friend who thought she was applying EA, but did not have all of her test scores submitted by the deadline, so her application was considered RD. She called the admissions office and this was the info she recieved. You might give a call to see if that is what happened with your application.
CU has a few merit scholarships and they are usually about $6000. That’s it. Colorado residents get a per credit payment and I think it comes out to about $1000. That’s it.
Has anyone got their admissions packet yet in the mail? Nothing here yet in Florida. But my son got his Penn State packet in the mail today and he was accepted a few days ago.
@caymangirl38 S19 just got his and we are in-state so they must be still in the mail for your area?
