Who else applied, and for what major? Let’s get things moving over here.

I applied for History. I went on a campus visit this summer, and I was very pleased.

When we will we get admission decisions???

Notification begins December 15th.

I applied, International Relations.

I applied…used Common App. As I recall, I did not have to put down a major, just my academic interests. I put down Philosophy, Political Science and Classics. Looking forward to hearing a decision soon with Early Action. Already accepted at one school, waiting to hear from 6 more.

I’m the Mom…my daughter applied. It is a top choice for her. She has received three acceptances already. She also, did not apply to a certain major.

Ah, I didn’t specify a major, either. I just took top academic interest to pretty much mean major, for which I put History.

Glad to see that there are others here. I’m looking forward to December 15th.

It will be soon…just took my last two SAT II tests today…Latin and World History…Do you think when they say EA notifications begins on the 15th it means they mail it sooner?

Probably just that they are postmarked by the 15th but I’m not sure. They should definitely get here by Christmas at least.

Any day now… :)

large mailing envelope (8.5 x 11) from Scranton today…

…and a mailing from Catholic, but it says, “paying for college”! Waiting for an admissions letter.

Anyone have any news?

No news here in Montana…kt, was your heart pounding?

Early action schools s/b 12/15 - Daughter accepted to Scranton today. Hopefully Catholic will be in the next 48 hours. Good luck everyone!

Mom…My daughter got acceptance for Scranton, as well, today!! Where else did your daughter apply?

Son was accepted to Scranton today as well with a $15K/year scholarship. Very happy for him. He’s also in at Tulane. Waiting to hear from Catholic. My d goes to school in DC – it’s a great place to go to college. Good Luck everyone!

NY Mama Congratulations! It is funny to see how some kids apply to the same schools. My D got Scranton today, 12K. Was accepted to Tulane (no $$?). We are waiting to hear from Catholic as well!

Your other daughter is happy in DC? It looks like such an exciting place to be!

@Ktharris - thank you and yes, she loves DC! And it’s a very nice place for the family to visit during family weekend! There is so much to do there. She had a great govt internship last semester, went to the President’s inauguration celebration and the Colbert rally among other things. There’s museums, movies, restaurants, concerts, etc., but it is a major city with crime, so of course one must always be careful and travel in groups at night.

My son applied for Finance, but might end up switching to something else within the business area. Accounting is best for job-hunting purposes, so we will see.

Accepted! See the other thread about checking online

Congrats, Meg322!

Just checked, nothing in today’s mail here in Montana.
