What’s the different between the three, Thoreau, Emerson, and Webster?
Emerson looks like it has the most spacious rooms in the pictures, but Thoreau has the gated bike racks?
Emerson and Webster have pools?
What other differences are there?
Is there a price difference?
Are there kitchens?
Regarding the bike racks, all three of the buildings can use the gated bike racks. Emerson and Webster have the double rooms suite style while Thoreau has a mix of double and triple rooms. No price difference except for double vs triple rooms. No kitchens in the suite just a small shared living room area but the main lounge area should have a shared kitchen for all residents.
Thoreau also has 7-9 person suites vs. the 5-6 person suites at Webster and Emerson. Thoreau has 4 bedrooms with either 4 doubles or 3 doubles and a triple.
Hopefully @PhantomVirgo can chime in if I missed anything. My son lived in Webster so not as familiar with the other 2 buildings. Cuarto has the best dining commons.
^ That covers most of it.
I’m not sure the exact square footage of the rooms in each individual hall, but it certainly seemed like my room was larger than people’s rooms in Emerson and Webster. I lived in a triple in Thoreau. The doubles in our suite were about the same size as the doubles in Webster and Emerson from what I’d seen.
And to expand on potential configurations, my suite had two triples and two doubles for a total of ten people in the suite. Most of the other suites on the floor, all except the RA suites as far as I know, had that configuration. This was a couple years before the new Tercero buildings finished construction. I don’t know if the new buildings have affected anything. But pretty much if you end up in Cuarto with a triple, you’ll be in Thoreau.
Thoreau has a very minor advantage in that the service desk is there. So it’s not a hassle to just grab something as you’re walking back to your room. Not that it’s a hassle to get there from Emerson or Webster, but you’d need to detour a bit in those cases.
