I have a question. So if I'm transferring from UC to UC, I would still have the UC GPA from my prior institution on my future institution's transcript correct, meaning that they won't start me off on a clean slate? So what about the classes that I take at a CC? Would the transferrable courses from a CC be used in the calculation of my UC GPA, or would only the courses that you took at the UCs be included? How does a transfer transcript look like? If you're coming from a CC, are all the courses and grades you received listed on your transcript?

Your transcript is sent by your current college, and they make no attempt to determine which courses will be accepted by your new school. Therefore, your current GPA will include all classes. Your new school, should they decide to accept you, will evaluate the courses and determine if you will be given credit for them or not.

After you transfer, your transcripts will still remain separate, although the college from which you graduate may indicate that a certain number of credits were earned elsewhere. Grad schools will likely want to look at both transcripts.
