I am curious about the whole G.P.A calculation for transfer students. I have an okay GPA for my cumilative (3.2), but my GPA for the classes that transfer is a 3.7. I want to apply to some good schools, and i wanted to know if they only look at the classes that transfer or everything?

thanks.

They consider the GPA in both regards. But it is the department of your proposed major that will look at the gpa of your major of course. And this is not the case at all schools.

For example, UCLA primarily wants high academic achievement across the board, but more heavily weighs in on your pre-major prep. courses and both GPA's. UC-Riverside on the other hand, might not weigh so heavily on what you have or not completed for your major.

But then again, it alllllllllll depends on your major/dept/specific campus
