<p>i was hoping someone could describe the differences between cumulative gpa and year's gpa, including how colleges view each one compared to each other.</p>

<p>cumulative GPA is your GPA that includes all of your high school classes.</p>
<p>year's GPA probably includes only your classes from last year.</p>
<p>I would imagine that colleges like to see a "positive trend" in GPAs (which could be seen through an increase in each year GPA), but it ultimately comes down to your cumulative GPA.</p>
