CUNY Baruch, Dean's Scholarship..

Um i just recieved a letter stating that i have gotten the dean's scholarship at baruch college meaning i get 4 years of full tuition. One thing i want to know however is that i applied for Macaulay and i obviously could not get in, however would i still be able to receive some of the benefits like the laptop, stipened books and transportation, and extra spending money?

Bump please.

Probably not. Macaulay is a program in itself and provides all the above things to accepted students. By the way, Macaulay doesn’t stipend books or transportation. Anyways, if the letter/email you received only states that you got 4 years of full tuition, that’s probably all you received. You should also call Baruch. Someone from Baruch admissions can most likely clarify these differences because maybe you will get something extra.

hey MrKimBum,

I got the same letter along with four other kids at my school, and i had the exact same question. I asked around, and apparently we are not part of the baruch honors college, so we dont get some of the benefits such as the free laptop and the extra money. and macaulay kids don’t get stipened books and transportation, and, unlike hunter, EVERYONE studying within Baruch college, macaulay or not, has to pay for the dorms (in hunter the macaulay kids get free dorms). We do, however, get the tuition, the honors classes, and get to pick our classes first. But I don’t think we are affiliated with the Honors college in any way. That part sucks, but hey, we do get to go to college for free, right?

i also got the same letter…
however, when i go on esims and take a look at my semester bill…it still tells me to pay the full price -___-
and i’m like where’s my scholarship?
is anyone in the same page as i am?
