DEFINITELY the best CUNY for business, well known in NYC

It is the best CUNY for business BUT to be honest, I would not recommend a CUNY (with the exception of their Honors College) for undergrad for anyone except as a safety. CUNY does not get much funding from the city or state of New York. It is also a commuter school without much "campus life" so be warned about that. With the exception of the Honors College, CUNY in New York City has the tendency to be viewed as one step above community college and one step below SUNY (the not-too-good state university system). The only advantage to picking Baruch over a better school academically is its location in the heart of NYC.

Dima343 doesn't know what they are talking about in some ways.

Yes, it is primarily a commuter school. However, it has a GREAT reputation among employers for business. Its accounting program has a fabulous reputation. In fact, many of the partners of big 4 accounting firrms attended Baruch. The big 4 always recruit there. In addition, look at where it is located. It is in the center of the business district of Manhattan. There are lots of things to do and eat. It also has lots of connections. Many companies recruit from there since they are located there.

Finally, it has one of the largest and strongest alumni base around. This means lots of job prospects for you.

Just for the record, I know about Baruch since I graduated from there about 30 years ago. Although it may have been my strong GPA, I had an unlimited number of opportunities. I could have had an interview in any field of my choice. Also, I never was rejected from any job that I applied for or interviewed for.I have also met a lot of alumni around the country and not just in NY who could have been very instrumental in helping me, if I wanted help.

Bottom line: Baruch, in some ways, is much better than any of the SUNYs or CUNYs for jobs and connections. They have some very excellent training in business subjects, most nobably accounting. When you consider how inexpensive the tuition is, the education that you get there is a steal!

Right now, I have a very successful practice as a result of what I learned from Baruch, and I have met others who have also been very successful.

I agree. This is of course from a New York City High School student's point of view. It is the best school for business but CUNYs arent all that highly regarded unless it's honors. So try to go for that :P

its a great price for a college education in NYC is what im thinking
