<p>The Committee on Admission has carefully reviewed all applications for the fall 2011 term and has placed your name on our wait-list. We received over 23,900 applications for 3,360 spaces in the First-Year class, far more than in the past several years. The competition was intense and we found ourselves unable to offer admission to all those applicants who would have been strong additions to this falls entering class. We regret that we are unable to offer you admission, especially since we understand that you are the child of a University of Virginia graduate.</p>
<p>Further consideration of your application will depend on whether or not you wish to remain on the wait-list and on the number of seats remaining in the class after the national deposit deadline on May 1, 2011. Should you choose to accept a position on the wait-list, the admission committee will review your application again following the May 1, 2011, deposit deadline. We will assume that you have no further interest in admission if you do not respond.</p>

<p>well… shock… none too happy! Probably will be reconsidering writing that alumni check every year…lol… but that’s the way it goes. All good :)</p>
