Curious: Can some one post the rejection/wait list letters?

Curious: Can some one post the rejection/wait list letters?

I am also curious about this.

The Committee on Admission has carefully reviewed all applications for the fall 2011 term and has placed your name on our wait-list. We received over 23,900 applications for 3,360 spaces in the First-Year class, far more than in the past several years. The competition was intense and we found ourselves unable to offer admission to all those applicants who would have been strong additions to this fall’s entering class. We regret that we are unable to offer you admission, especially since we understand that you are the child of a University of Virginia graduate.

Further consideration of your application will depend on whether or not you wish to remain on the wait-list and on the number of seats remaining in the class after the national deposit deadline on May 1, 2011. Should you choose to accept a position on the wait-list, the admission committee will review your application again following the May 1, 2011, deposit deadline. To learn more about the wait-list process, please refer to our frequently asked questions guide hosted on our admission website at: [Wait-list FAQs, Undergraduate Admission, U.Va.](http://www.virginia.edu/undergradadmission/waitlist.html).

If you wish to remain on the wait-list, you must indicate your interest by selecting the “I wish to remain on the wait-list” button below within two weeks. You must also request that your final grades be sent to us as soon as your term is completed. If you decide not to remain on the wait-list, we would appreciate it if you click on the “I do not wish to remain on the wait-list” button below. We will assume that you have no further interest in admission if you do not respond.

We deeply appreciate your interest in the University of Virginia and regret that we cannot offer you a place in our first-year class at this time. Should we find that there are available seats in the class after May 1, 2011, we will review your application again, assuming you have taken the necessary steps outlined above to remain on the wait-list. I wish you the best as you finalize your college plans and sincerely appreciate your continued interest in attending the University of Virginia.

Sincerely,

Dean of Admission
