Curious Newbie: What are MY chances?

I'm sure you guys have received many many of these questions, but I'm really curious. This question is especially geared towards the UC Berkeley-ers out there. These are my stats so far....

Freshman year: 3.4/3.5
Sophomore Year: 3.5 (weighted w/ one grade bump)/3.8 (weighted w/ 2 grade bumps) Plus 1 AP test (French Language: 3 is my score)

Volunteer: Tutoring after school, Library (3 years), will start hospital work on Monday (interested in medical field)

Work Experience: Library Page since December

That's all I can think of right now, but do I have a chance of UC Berkeley if I raise up my grades in the next two years?

ANY other advice for Berkeley? Thank you guys so much. I really appreciate the time.

:)

P.S. I'm of Moroccan origin (in North Africa), so I'm not sure if that counts as a minority when it comes to applying (if I'm correct, UC Berkeley doesn't care about race, right?) because I've heard that only Native Americans, Hispanics, and African Americans count as minorities.

Thanks again.

If Morocco is from Africa, I think you count as African American. California schools do not care about race.

So, I guess it would count for minority scholarships as well...

Berkeley wont give a damn if you're African

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCB: Slight Reach

Thanks, jPoD...good to know. just curious.

flopsy: i'm pretty new to this board, and always see "slight reach"...can you explain please?

it means that you are not guaranteed to get in but you have a chance

what about the second part of my post? any other advice, guys? i'd really appreciate it....it feels like that I lost my chance for Berkeley a long time ago.
