UC Berkeley??

I'm still a junior, and I'm considering applying to UC Berkeley next fall. It would be a reach school, and I'm completely okay with not getting in. These are the stats I'll have by the time I graduate- how likely am I to get in, or should I bother applying?

White female; Virginia

I'm taking my SATs for the first time in December; on my PSAT last year I scored 44 in math, 64 in reading, and 67 in writing.

GPA: 3.9

Attending a specialized high school program for humanities studies; by the time I graduate I will have taken 9 AP classes (psych, human geo, bio, art history, apush, government, two english, french; so far I've maintained mostly A's, and B's in math and science.

Piano Lessons: 7 years
Girl Scouts: 9 years (Earned Silver and Gold Award)
Key Club: 4 years (Secretary)
Model UN: 4 years
Human Rights Club: 4 years
French NHS: 4 years
Thesbian NHS: 2 years
LGBTQ Alliance: 2 years (Founder and president)
Crew on school play productions: 5 shows
I'm also looking to apply for an internship at the local newspaper office.
I'm applying for Girls State and NHS this spring

I also have back problems that have given me a lot of pain and resulted in a bunch of surgeries and missing school, if that counts as a special circumstance.

So what are my odds?

It’s impossible to forecast your chances now, because your junior grades are immensely important for UC admissions. Wait until you know them, and have taken some standardized tests, before asking again. That 44 in Math would normally put you out of consideration, but wait and see how you do on the SAT and ACT.
