Here is a new article about the applicant pool for 2017:
[Brown University Class of 2017 | Brown University News and Events](http://news.brown.edu/pressreleases/2013/01/applicants)
Note that it appears that 1/3 of the class is already picked from ED applicants. However, Brown has been a bit sneaky in slowly “over enrolling”, (as many schools have been) so the class size, I suspect, will be more than 1500.

Another single digit acceptance rate is in the works. Wow.

Most international applicant pool… Oh lucky me

single digit? You could take it a step further: It’s approaching 5%. 1/19 get in.

No, that’s not right. 1/19 get accepted and also select Brown as their final choice. The record low acceptance rate was 2 years ago when my son applied: 7.5% in RD, 8.7% overall.

Oops. Good catch

C-3PO: Sir, the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1.

Han Solo: Never tell me the odds.

^That just made my day.

Personally, I think it’s hypocritical for colleges to count Asians as “students of color” but deliberately make their admission more difficult.
