Brown University received a slightly smaller number of Early Decision applications this year than it did in 2005, the Brown Daily Herald reports.

2,317 people applied to Brown under its binding Early Decision deadline for fall 2007 admissions, marking a 2.6 per cent decrease from last years ED applicant pool of 2,378.

Brown accepted 22.9 per cent of its 2005-2006 ED applicants, compared to 13.8 per cent of its overall applicant pool. Browns Early Decision program is binding, meaning that ED applicants promise in advance to attend Brown if they are accepted.

interesting, do you guys think that brown is going to lock in a greater percentage of males for the early decision round because of the lack of males applying? and does anyone know how many of those early applicants are females and males?

yeah it depends on the quality of the pool and not the quantity.
I think next year will see a significant increase in ED applicants due to Princeton dropping their ED program.

lmao AGREE to the PLME statements above
