I like the idea of astro but want to look at manned stuff. Would Edwards be the best place for suborbital/space flight and/or would NASA be a possibility as well?

i'm not sure yet, but i'm thinking some kind of engineering or maybe comp sci. it does depend what you like and what you're good at though b/c i struggle with the non-techie classes like history and english but do fine in classes like math.

AZcadet, to do manned spaceflight type stuff you would have to be a test pilot, most likely (99% of the time). Astro/Aero are the best majors for test pilots, as far as I know, but there are a variety of techie major that are "test pilot qualified".

OPERATIONS RESERACH!!! (its the best! lol)

simply mix of: math, mngmnt, comp sci, econ

07Petko, let me know if you ahve questions. i've taken OR 310, and its been my favorite class here yet. i was planning on the spanish minor until i completed 321 as my 2nd course and decided i was done.

Does anyone know where there is a list breaking down the # of different graduating majors by class year? AOG doesn't seem to track such a thing.

I would be really interested to see that and where each base where different majors go.

i think i plan on majoring in aeronautical engineering. :-x

There aren't set bases for each major. Some have a specific set of bases that they head to, but for most people, you will head where the AF needs you and may be doing something completely different than your major (pilots, navs, CRO etc- there are plenty more)
