Current Junior trying to figure out what I should change/do in my Senior Year.

Hi I am a Junior right now and have a good idea about where I want to go and would love to hear people’s input on what I should do my Senior year/what I should improve on so I can improve my chances.

Here are my stats:

-White
-Irish Immigrant, Dual Citizen, Both Parents went to Irish College
-Florida Private School
-Do not live with parents, live with grandparents.

Academics:

  • GPA: W:3.8. School does not give unweighted. My GPA will probably drop after this semester because I got mononucleosis and it really messed me up .
  • ACT 33 (35R,35E,33S,30M) will retake it once more to improve my math
  • SAT 1420 (690WR, 730M) going to retake at most 2 more times
  • Subject Tests: Taking Math II and Physics in June, Taking Chinese in November

  • Gay-Straight Alliance Secretary
  • Not really extra curricular but I do have 1 on 1 Chinese conversation once a week.
  • This summer I am going to try and make some games on my own since that is one of my major interests.

Volunteering:
~100 hours doing a multitude of things, most come from volunteering at Junior Olympics

Awards:

  • Chinese Award 3 Years in a row

Recommendations:

  • I know I will get a great rec from my Chinese teacher but am still trying to find my second writer. It will probably be a math teacher or my biotech teacher since she had me when I was a freshman.

Here are all of the colleges I have looked at and know I want to attend:
MIT
CMU
Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute
Georgia Tech
Cornell
Tufts
UPenn

Rochester Institute of Technology

most of these schools are probably reaches haha but I would love to hear some advice about what I could do next year to improve my chances, thanks!
