Current students: Recruiting presence?

I've been accepted as a sophomore transfer student to the Gabelli school of business and I'll will most likely be attending in the fall. What I am interested in finding out is how effective is the career center/business school in providing access to internships (summer or semester). I have a very strong resume for a mid year freshman and I interview very well however in my first semester at my current school (Siena college in upstate new york) I have already seen a majority of what the school has to offer in terms of internship opportunities and such.

Obviously being in the city will increase my opportunities tenfold but will I be scouring job boards for listings or does the school do a decent job of providing outlets for ambitious students?

career services has an online job posting site called job central where they put up many different internships and part time jobs, and you can also sign up for their email list where they continuously send you part time and internship opportunities throughout the semester.

there are also several career fairs and networking events throughout the year.

Can you point out a few firms that were actively recruiting from campus in the past year or so?
