current students... what do you do for fun at cornell?

what are the main activies and attractions at cornell that keep you entertained and happy? also, include things you plan to do/see/explore.

what do you think are the main recreational activities at cornell? in other words, what do you think most of the students do for fun?

Most students go to parties and/or get wasted for fun.

But there are other things to do a well. To name a few: bowling, movies, going out to eat, dances, speeches by famous people, basketball, poker, volleyball, gorge jumping, and a bunch of school-sponsored trips (e.g. to see a Broadway play or to go shopping at a nearby mall).

Do a lotta people go out of town, say to NYC or Boston? What transit do they use?

Not as a regular weekend thing, getting to the city by car is like 3 1/2 hours, if yuo take the bus that goes in and out it'll be more like 4 1/2 hours.

bump.

what about pingpong and halo2? hehe

and xbox in general?

i can't get a xbox 360 anywhere well is for my lil bro not me but they r impossible to get now, i have this friend he plays halo all day and thats all he talks about he's a really funny guy i think he is hyperactive very entertaining is class

we have a ping pong table in our dorm...right next to the big screen TV...so yea...pingpong and halo haha

i should go to cornell(if i can get in), i am from china, professionally trained in ping pong! I'll come and woop all your behinds :)
jks. about wooping you guys, ping pong is entertaining :)

Ping pong and pool/billiards are available in the student unions. As for Halo, I walked into Phi Psi one day and they literally had a dozen or more TVs set up in their living room and all the brothers were playing Halo. I thought it was bizarre, but that's apparently how they spend their free time.

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

i love pingpong and i agape halo :)

Haha, we play Halo1 and Halo2 at our frat all the time. Halo1 is mostly local systemlink, Halo2 mostly on Xbox Live. When I was a freshman the big thing was Counter Strike (pre source/steam days for all you nerds ;) )

CS is awesome lol

what is Halo??? Do you guys have a Gaming club...i love Quake III Arena...Do many guys play that?

ah... CS, UT, HL... the good ol' days...

"what is Halo??? Do you guys have a Gaming club...i love Quake III Arena...Do many guys play that?"

DUUUUUUUUDE, we got CS in India as well........don't tell me you never went with your mates to the local LAN place?

i know what CS is, obviously...but whats Halo got to do with CS???

semi similar game....

Halo is the premier FPS for xbox. I'd say among PC First Person Shooters, it's most like Half Life. The original has multiplayer, with up to 16 players via a LAN. Halo 2 allows you to play online with others, with up to 16 players simultaneously.

Just search for a online review.

do people play BP regularly on weeknights in dorms, or only fri/sat?

"BP" stands for?
