^ already been to that site... and I still had these questions...

I'm going to ask them at some point but i wanted to know if anybody over here could help me before i have to do that (they aren't very helpful many times) and I don't want to miss the deadline for anything..

I don't know if i'm going monthly yet so that's why i wanted to know when all the stuff shows up on oasis.. hmmm....

i can email there...but i just dont know whether its only for colleges with which USC has articulation agreement or for everyone???
My four year college does not have an articulation agreement (atleast i think so...).

They told me that an updated breakdown would be posted on Oasis 7/15/06 because I had questions about my bill. The info they sent with registration didn't break down some of the fees they assess & they said my son declined tuition refund insurance when he actually accepted it at orientation, when registering.

Good luck--if you don't get enough good info, try hanging up & calling back. Maybe you'll get someone the next timie with more answers. I've had mixed experiences in calling SFS myself, but generally eventually find SOMEONE who is helpful.

From what I've heard from kids who attend(ed) USC, there is no need to leave campus in your 1st year or 2 at USC. There's TONS to do on campus if you're interested, includng attending as many parties & other events as you choose, frat or non-frat.

Additionally, many places which serve alcohol are technically illegal for folks under 21. "Fake ID" is a petty or full misdemeanor in many places, for those who care about their futures & any criminal record. It's a very serious offense in HI. Wonder how much individuals are willing to risk for "fun"?

if you submit SAT scores with the part I application, then take it again with a better score and send the SAT scores to the college, will the higher score bump you up in chances for the trustee's/presidential scholarships?

I have a quick question.. are you able to miss part of the second class (first week) or are they any consquences if you do in the first week regarding your grade. I just found out I have to be someplace that day and possibly the last hour of my Intro to Cinema class

It depends on the class/professor. Some classes you dont have to attend at all (if you choose), some have required/encouraged attendance, in which the attendance usually factors into your grade. If you miss part of a class or need to miss part of a class you can always go talk with the professor.

To answer your question more directly...if you need to miss class you can, but it may have an effect (very small) on your grade. You will (probably) not fail a class for not attending.

IIRC, technically they can drop you from the class if you don't go to the first few classes. so just go and make sure he/she doesn't. :) chances are they won't even notice you're gone, if it's a larger class like intro to cinem, though

Ok thanks so much for the response. We are not even sure if my grandmother needs surgery but that Wednesday is the "scheduled" date. Thanks again!

makkuroi: it's entirely at their discretion. Who knows what decision processes they use if you submit the scores late (i.e., after the part 2 is due).

However, if it's only the Part 1 of the application (the optional one) I would definitely submit updated SAT scores if they are higher. As long as it's in by the part 2 I don't see why they wouldn't take the higher score into consideration.

I believe I read vacuum cleaners can be checked out to clean your rooms.

I've been planning on packing small bottles of Windex (for mirrors, window, etc.) and dish soap (for microwavable dishes) with my daughter, but not a vacuum. The rooms are a pretty tight fit, I think it would be tough to fit even a small model vacuum into a room comfortably.
