Exeter is hard, but it's worth it.

I go to Exeter, and I'm friends with KrnCowLovar. I was talking to her on AIM a few minutes ago, and here I am to COME TO EXETER'S RESCUE!
YAY!
I've learned about fifty times more in these two terms at Exeter than I have anywhere else. Most of the teachers are amazing and Harkness works wonders, in my opinion. I came to Exeter because I love to talk and there wasn't the level of motivation that I wanted from other students at my old school.
AND ONE THING I LOVE ABOUT EXETER?
THE FRIENDS I HAVE HERE.
WTH? NO SOCIAL LIFE? are you KIDDING ME?
we live with our peers, we see them 24-7, many people (aka me and a bunch of my friends) refuse to walk around alone on weekends and stuff. Whenever I have any spare time, I'll go hunt down a friend one way or the other and just chill in their room or something. And again, I really doubt the thing about the varsity game.

If you wanna see some intense school spirit, you gotta come to Exeter during an EA game. When we had our Fall Term Exeter Andover Varsity Football game and Exeter WON, I swear to god, HALF THE SCHOOL must have POURED off the bleachers screaming. The Exeter Andover games I've had (even though I've only played on jv teams) are the memories of a lifetime. They left more of a lasting impression on me than when I was captain of sports teams at my old school. I was benched for these Exeter Andover games, but even from the bench, I was so nervous for the team that I half couldn't bear to go onto the court.

Exeter is what you make of it. When they first come here, people always have their issues procrastinating and have a hard time doing the homework they need to do before class tomorrow, but eventually, we get over it. There's tons of stress all the time, I'll admit. (As in tons, I mean, "OHMYGODENGLISHPAPERBIOLABAHHFML" 24-7) but YES we DO have FUN.
gosh, THANKS A LOT, krncowlovar. See, now I have to run to Exeter's rescue and spend my time writing THIS instead of my lab report.
The story of my life.
But that's okay.
Because if someone reads this and thinks, "Well, Exeter isn't the ***hole that some people make it out to be, it's actually pretty cool," and ends up coming here, it will be worth it.
No matter what krncowlovar *COUGHJOJOCOUGH says. Haha you know I love you.
At the moment not so much.
But you know what I mean.

I loved my classes this term.
Math class was just fun to go to, not because I'm all out, "oh my dear gosh, MATH! how ENJOYABLE and WONDERFUL! I just LOVE to STUDY!" but more because I have the best group of people in the world for my math class.
Our teacher's really laid back and cracks jokes at us during math, when we put up problems on the board, we'll somehow meld together people's names to show that they worked together on the problem (example: walagina).
During English class yesterday, our teacher told us that she would get us PIZZA if we didn't say "like" throughout the whole class. 1 minute after that, a guy said it so our teacher ended up giving us another chance, and so today, we had pizza and soda during english class.
Even then, we had a legitimate discussion about the poem we were reading and were able to discuss our multiple interpretations of it.

For me, at least, Exeter's the ultimate learning environment. Sure, I'd love to sleep in and get more than 7 hours of sleep every night (I usually get somewhere between 5 to 8 hours per night, and the worst I've ever had was during fall term when I procrastinated so much that I only got 2:30)
Teachers here are understanding so they'll be willing to give you extensions if you get really desperate and the people in your dorm are always willing to help you.

what I love MOST about Exeter's technology:
dorm phones which don't cost you anything. You can be talking to someone for hours on end about whatever the heck you want. Bio labs, your EP date, how nervous you are for sports tryouts.

YES, it's true that Exonians are TIRED.
WE ARE SO TIRED.
IT'S KIND OF RIDICULOUS.
BUT
being tired doesn't mean that WE HAVE NO SOCIAL LIFE.
and usually, when you're being given your tour, it's during your tour guide's free period.
meaning that everyone else is in class.
meaning that OH! people aren't gonna be walking on the paths!
surprise, surprise!

That's like the kid that came during winter break and commented on how deserted the campus was.
No ****. Well, I wonder why.

Now, onto my bio lab...
