Hi, I'm currently taking honors physics and want to take the SAT for Physics in the spring. Can someone give me some general books and strategies for the test. At what point during the year should I begin to study for the exam given i'm taking Honors Physics right now? How difficult is the exam?

aussietechie made a really good post covering this:

I used Barron’s and I agree with his critique of the book, so I guess his reviews are probably accurate. I don’t know how your curriculum compares to SAT II. If it’s way more advanced than SAT in terms of areas covered, a few months is more than enough. If not, the earlier you start, the better.

EDIT: If you want to find out how tough the exam is, buy one of those books, do a practice test, score it and then analyze your performance. Barron’s has a “diagnostic test” which is basically a regular test but with a grid that makes the analyzing process easier. I wouldn’t recommend Barron’s on that basis alone though, you can easily get the same result with a practice test from one of the other books.

@lostint Thanks for the comment, appreciate it! :)
