can you guys let me know what living in kissam quadrangle is like?? i got placed in a single in currey and i am not too happy about it...

I lived in Currey my freshman year. Definitely nothing glamorous like the Commons (which is spoiling the freshman, in my opinion), but it will toughen you up for the rest of your time in upperclassmen housing.

Pros:
- It’s all singles, which is nice because you’ll definitely get to know your neighbors.
- The rooms are a decent size (for singles). I’ve lived in a single room my entire time at Vandy, and each year my room is smaller than the year before (Currey–>Mayfield–>Morgan).
- Brand new laundry and munchie mart in two of the other quad buildings.
- The furniture is all movable, so you can rearrange your room how you want (unlike Towers, where the desk is built-in).
- If you’re a sophomore, the sophomore parking is very close by.

Cons:
- No elevator, which is really painful for moving in/out and doing laundry (I was on the 4th floor).
- Notorious for having a mold problem, although they recently changed out a lot of the carpeting and swapped out curtains for blinds, so it should be better now.
- DISGUSTING bathrooms (and I was on a girls hall). The real issue was maintenance very rarely cleaned (or unclogged) the showers…hopefully they’ve improved this.

If you have any questions, I’ll try to help.

is it a social dorm at all, or mostly introverts?

I don’t think you can classify the dorm as either. Honestly, most of the people who live in Kissam did not choose to live there, but rather got put there when other housing filled up. Considering that, it’s a mixed bunch.
