How do you think the SAT will be curved for the May 4th 2013 verison? I thought math was harder than usual so I hope the curve is gentler...writing and critical reading seemed normal.

The math actually seemed okay for me.

I took M2 and it was awkward compared to practice tests. There were no questions involving limits/asymptotes and there were some awkward questions off-topic.

There normally aren’t too many asymptote or limit questions…I’ve done like 30 tests and I’ve never seen one.

I doubt it… The math seemed pretty normal to me.

do SAT questions ever have multiple answers???

Neverrrr. There are rare instances in CR passages where both are right, but one is MORE right

I thought math was harder than usual, while the critical reading vocab was the hardest I’ve ever seen. The writing was very easy. I’m hoping for a very generous curve.

@orangeish I feel the exact same way. The math questions were weird and the wording for some problems were very ambiguous.

Sentence completion for one section with the 8 questions was very difficult but I thought the passages were decent.

and grammar was easy.

critical reading SC was BRUTAL. i usually get 19/19 and very rarely 18/19 but this time i got 17/19…there goes my 800 in CR :((((((((((((( well retaking next year!
writing improving paragraphs was very iffy, the rest was OK
math was a joke as usual

CR: Pretty much the same; maybe a little easier
Writing: The same
Math: WHY

Math kicked my ass. I ran out of time on two sections (the grid ins and one other one) and on the third, I probably missed a ton. I’m prayingg that the experimental section was a math section.
Reading seemed harder than usual, but still doable. (I actually loved the vocab, although my friend hated it. You kind of just had to know the words for this one.) Writing was the same as usual… I liked the essay prompt.

The experimental section was definitely the CR, there was 4 CR sections…

There couldn’t have been 4 lol. General rule: if you get three 25 minute critical reading sections, one of them will have been the experimental one. If you get three 25 minute math sections, one of them will be the experimental one. And if you get two 25 minute writing sections, you’ll know one of those will be the experimental section.

I just can’t remember how many of each section I got. I think I had three math though.

@marshmallowpop
I meant 4 CR in total… not 4 25 minute CR sections…

From what I have been concluding experimental had been dispersed among students. Some students received 2 35 question writing sections, some received 4 cr sections, and some (including me) received 2 grid in sections.

Sounds like a toss-up between the CR and W for exp sects. Test was easy with the exception of an awkward essay question.

What was the essay question? Or a paraphrase of it.

@ rebeccar

My prompt was “Is a person’s happiness a good way to determine his or her wisdom?” or something like that.

reading sc were hard…
