Probably the most important ingredient, Susan! :) As an aside, this afternoon my youngest D was looking at a couple of friends on youtube and called me in to her computer to watch a performance she'd come across surfing through various videos. She said, "mom, you HAVE to see this!" Coincidentally, it was a performance by N'Harmonics and there was your beautiful and talented D at Lincoln Center. It was nice to see her friend who is in the wheelchair (whose name I am sorry I have forgotten) who I saw perform a couple of summers ago with jasmom's son at Surflight. We then watched another N'Harmonics video in which Shane Orser was the soloist. Oh my goodness, he is amazing. Anyway, sorry to go OT, but I thought it was such a funny coincidence that my D found that video!

Yikes, this is Off Topic, but I don't want to ignore your post.

NYU N'Harmonics were the Northeast champions for collegiate a capella this year and went onto the International Finals at Lincoln Center and I was there. They came in third. My D won for best arrangement (she is the Musical Director and arranges many of their songs, and arranged two of the three at finals, one of which earned her the award, High and Dry which was its debut at that concert). Shane, however, won for best arrangement and soloist at the Semi Finals I was at which were at MIT. Yes, one of my D's best friends from CAP21, who is extremely talented in MT, and is confined to a wheelchair, is now a member of N'Harmonics. Lots of kids in this group are going onto good things in theater.....one of the girls in that video (not a soloist) is now in Spring Awakening, one of the boys was just in Glory Days on Bdway (and in History Boys in LA), another recent graduate of her group is in Hair at the Public in Central Park this summer, and another is starring as Sophie in Mamma Mia on Bdway. The soloist in Whipping Post (the other song in the concert my D arranged) is going on a tour this fall and will be in the Broadway Rising Stars show in NYC this month. The group very recently were the opening act at Young At Heart's concert at The Beacon Theater in NYC. Lots of good singers in the group!

Back to MT cut programs....:)

It may have been off topic, but what amazing arrangements and performances (I ended up watching 4 or 5 of the videos). Everyone's head was about to explode from all the "heavy" discussion about cuts anyway :) .

Michael....well, to be corny.....the three song titles from their group's set all fit this thread discussion....
A Change is Gonna Come (maybe???)
Whipping Post (what you have to face in a cut program, LOL, j/k)
High and Dry (what you are left with if cut from a BFA program!)

The videos from Lincoln Center on You Tube are not very good because Lincoln Center would not allow any cameras (unlike all the competitions regionally that led up to the finals). The ones from Lincoln Center on YouTube were shot by someone who was sitting up very close and so visually it is poor and same with sound. I happen to have a good video (but we were not able to shoot our own) because when I ordered professional photos that were taken of my D's group and her winning her individual award, the photographer who sent the prints also unexpectedly threw in a video that was made from the balcony at Lincoln Center but I do not think he meant it to be distributed and so I have not done anything with it (but watch it).
