Cut-Off Words...which advice is correct?

After I submitted my common app, I realized that my short essay (149 words) got cut-off in the preview even though it fit in the submission box. I have found conflicting evidence about how colleges see the common app. Here are two quotes:

"There are some areas on the application where the text may be within the limit for the field, but still gets truncated on the form.* Because there is limited space on the application, you can add anything that gets cut off to the additional information section.* The schools are aware that there is limited space on the application.
If you need to add further information, please do so in the Additional Information section of the application."

VERSUS:

After printing my application in PDF, some fields I have filled in on the application are blank, and others are not displaying the entire text. What do I need to do?
The PDF version of your application may not display some of your answers correctly. As long as they are saved to your application properly, they will be saved in the institution's database properly, even if they are not displaying correctly (or at all) on the PDF. You may want to check the pages of your application carefully before you submit it to ensure that your answers were saved properly.

Will colleges see my entire essay? If not, what should I do?

bumpppppppp

I had the same problem. I just eliminated the space between the two paragraphs to be safe. But I don’t have insider knowledge-- if you can get a 95 percent certain confirmation from someone else on this thread that the first option is true, then just leave it as is.
