Yeah, there are better coping mechanisms. Do something else.

hey... how can pinkcrayons have 0 posts?? He obviously posted at least once...

Maybe posts in the cafe dont count toward your total? Pretty sure that's it, I think I saw that somewhere

yeah, posts in the cafe don't count towards your post count.

masochism can also be getting others to inflict pain on you.

Yeah the term masochism refers to a specific type of desire for pain...it's not use of pain as a coping mechanism...but let's not get into masochism on here, this thread is about people's emotional issues, not sexual issues

gross!

I think my "problem" is gradually diminishing. For the past few days my pain-inflicting desires have decreased little by little. I'm basically learning how not to give a **** about stuff that ****es me off.
why are we discussing my problem? where's the OP?

This thread is such attention whoring. Get some professional help, and don't "brag" online about your cutting.

I don't cut! The OP does! blood grosses me out.

The OP is a troll.

ugh, this thread makes me feel sick...ohhh... this is so sad. I thought about it once, but can't ever see myself actually like cutting open my arm...oh god! It takes a lot of will power to hurt yourself.

Cutting is good for your body. It helps remove the demons.

Now I'm begining to understand what exactly your screen name means^

max payne?

never mind. (<--it is one word or two?)

Never mind it two words.

Unless you're referring to Nirvana's awesome album in which case it's Nevermind (one word).

Nirvana is overrated. The band and the experience.

^^amen.
Can't stand Nirvana or Kurt Cobain for that matter..just not good music.

And don't cut yourself/otherwise inflict pain upon yourself for any reason. That's unhealthy. Get help from someone who's not on an Internet forum.

People cut in order to externalize the pain they feel internally. It's kind of like freeing themselves of the pain once they see the blood. They need to find better ways or coping with their internal pain. As a psychotherapist, I know that you can find much healthier ways to cope if you consult a counselor at school or a therapist. I wish you luck.
