D from freshman year of high school?

<p>I'm mainly planning to go into universities inside of the UC (California) system. I'm well-aware that the system doesn't incorporate freshman year grades into the calculation of UC GPA but I heard that for a-g requirements, Ds don't count as credit.</p>

<p>So the question is, do I have to make my D up (it was for Algebra II) even though they're from freshman year or will my passing grade from trig/pre-calc validate it?</p>

<p>You have to make it up. Even outside of A-G, you will be pegged as lazy if you don’t make up any grade you can.</p>
