<p>I took Calculus A/B my junior year. The first semester I earned a B-, but the second semester I was dealing with additional stress from a back condition and received a D. How much will this D affect my chances at getting into a UC, and should I try to provide any possible explanation on my application? Also, my teacher offered to give me a Pass grade, but I am unable to find an option to enter a Pass on the UC Application. What is the best way to handle this?</p>
<p>Take the pass. Your GC counselor will help you deal with the logistics of reporting it on your application. In any case it’s the official school transcript that colleges use, and not what you report.</p>
