D in calc, next step?

I’m aware this happens every year to many people. Raised it from a 55 to a 65 in a month, but finals f’d me up. No intention of dropping this class as I’m a prospective engineering major and I generally enjoy the class.

Applied to SLO (#1 choice), three UCs (don’t really expect to get in anyways) and a few other CSUS.

What do I do now? Do I send an email to admissions ASAP to explain my situation and see what they say?

B

What is there to explain?

Maybe rethink your prospective major?

generally enjoy the class.

If you’re enjoying the class, why did you get a “D?” are you partying every weekend?

@NASA2014 I enjoy the knowledge I receive in that class, but it’s tough. Get it?

You have your teachers to help you.

Tried once, wasn’t very helpful. He’s about 70 years old. Handwriting almost impossible to read. Voice almost too low to hear. Has all the characteristics of a good teacher besides the most important one: orating and explanation skills.

Utilized friends and online resources instead but obviously wasn’t good enough.

Ain’t even tryna make excuses though. I understand it’s on me.

She’s not the only the high school teacher that has experience calculus. Tell the other teachers, they can help you

Are you taking Calculus at high school or community college?

@NASA2014 Too bad that’s exactly how it is LOL. He’s the only calc teacher at our school lolzzzzzzzzzzz and only one that knows the stuff well enough to teach it. His program is amazing, but tough. As he always tells us, “It’s not about the math.”

@4kidsdad AP Calc AB in high school.

It doesn’t matter if he’s the only calc teacher. An algebra teacher or trig can help you!
