I currently have a D- (61%) in Calculus AP. I had an A first semester, but senioritis got the best of me. I MIGHT be able to pull it up to a C or B but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know if Berkeley will rescind my acceptance for getting a D? Or do I just need to maintain a certain GPA overall? Thanks!

for one quarter?
don’t sweat it -.-

yeah, s’all good.

a D and an A average to be about a C, so you’re totes safe.

Actually, your case is borderline. Cal does have the right to revoke your admission for getting lower than a C in any class. It doesn’t mean they will, but they have the right to.

My best advice is to hit the books and get that D up to a C. If that means letting some of your other classes slip from an A to a B, so be it (as long as your overall average stays above 3.0). Then it is a non-issue. If that doesn’t work, send the admissions office a letter explaining why you got a D, and how you intend to correct the academic misstep when you get to Cal.

Notifty them asap.

They are only looking at official semester grades, so all you have to do is get it up to a C and make sure you maintain a 3.0 UW GPA.

make it a C. If you can’t, drop it and notify them.

the faster you notify them the better off you’ll be. I knew someone who got a D first semester and they said it was fine as long as he passes 2nd semester.
It’s a case by case thing. SO CALL THEM!!! for Advice or counseling

ah… email the admissions officer that admitted you, or…

give your calc teacher an end of the year present :)

the SIR says that you need a 3.0 gpa unweighted in both semester and that all grades must be Cs or better. a D in a one class will get your admission rescinded. It doesn’t matter that you have an A in the fall semester and that an A and a D average to a C+.
Definitely talk to your teacher.

Get that grade up! X__X;;
Cal can revoke if you get a D, so if that does happen, notify them asap!

Best of luck…only a couple more months!
