i know that there has been many many threads on this topic, but i still haven't gotten the answer.

I MIGHT GET A D IN CALC BC! if i do, will i get rescinded for sure? or is it just a possibility? does anyone know people that have had personal experiences with this?

hello "hoopjumper", I am an admissions officer. I regret to inform you that, after reading your post, I have decided to rescind you. A D in Calculus BC is completely unacceptable. Good luck with your college plans.

Anyway, hoopjumper, I'm kind of in your situation...talk to your counselor, call the school, write them a letter, etc. It's definitely a possibility that you could get rescinded but it's not a for sure thing. I've heard/known of plenty of people who still got in, but on the other hand, I also knew people who got rescinded. Get your grade up, if not, call/write a letter and ****ing sell your soul to them.

you guy can't work things out with your teachers.
I believe that the teachers understand what kind of stress you're going through right now !!!!!!
So maybe just tell him/her that if it's okay if you pass the final(if you are sure that you will spend time to study) then you will pass the class

My teacher is the dark lord herself...I've had her for four years and have had to struggle for a C each semester. She is the opposite of understanding.

I actually have a low D in at least three of my classes right now
and I seriously dont care.
I havent done any of my work in these classes.
I am in the process of making it all up right now and I will most likely end up getting an A in all three of them...
I love my teachers

im in ur situation too, and there is like no way for me to get it up. my teacher hates me and I don't know the stuff too well, a bad combination. I don't really know what to do about it...should we start writing letters right now? or after we get the bad grade?

i think we should write & send letters NOW...
before they see a D or a F on our final transcript...
i think it will be okay if we send in letters and take classes @ CC to make that bad grade up or something.

That's what I was thinking...explain the circumstances before the final grades.

Mind if I ask why you guys are in these situations? I blame Decathlon and this being the first Trig class my teacher has taught. (About 10 people out of around 35 are passing)

I hate calculus and somehow managed to get through the entire schoolyear by cheating/ditching my way through the tests... I'm still amazed at how far i got without knowing a single thing about calculus. but tomorrow is the second semester final exam... and its 1/3 of my entire grade. sigh... i'm gonna have to make up some sad sad story and send letters to ucsd.

i wouldn't be surprised if your teachers are just trying to teach you a lesson. i obviously don't know about the teachers at your school, but if you talk to the ones @ mine, they will raise your grade if YOU work harder and study harder. many teachers at my school have been known to fail/give d's to try to get the message across that you wont cut it in the real world if you do this and blah blah blah, up until the last few days when they raise the grade that added 1%(or whatever it may be) to get to a passing grade. i would reccomend talking to your teachers before you do anything else. see if you can makeup work or retake tests. tell them you will do anything to get @ least a c. and lucky for you, if they do let you makeup work you still have a few weeks to get everything straightened out. if it looks like your teachers wont budge, i would then go and contact whoever you need to and explain the situation. good luck to all of you, and i am sorry for the situation you guys are in.
