D in Second Semester O-Chem...

I am a sophomore at a top ten public university, and my BCPM GPA has now dropped from 3.5 to 3.25. I realize an MD is not realistic, but is a DO reasonable given a decent MCAT, an A/B in the lab component of Organic Chemistry, and a science GPA back at 3.5? I have a feeling my respective grades of C and D in first and second semester Organic Chemistry will keep me at a huge disadvantage, but any thoughts are appreciated.

Well, you’re going to have to retake that second semester O-chem. DO schools will then only take the new grade into account when calculating your GPA, while MD schools will include both in the calculation. Both will see the D, however, and its going to hurt you either way. But it is in no way a one-off disqualification for either DO or MD, depending on how the rest of your grades/EC/etc look.
