D in second semester of senior year

I have been accepted to UC Merced and have submitted my SIR.
I will most likely get a D in pre calculus because I was slacking off, do u think they will rescind my admission?
Thanks a lot

Call the school and ask them.

What does your offer letter say about the conditions for admission? Have you talked to your Pre-Calculus teacher about what you can do to get that grade up?

It says they will consider admission if grades lower than C. And my Pre cal teacher does not care. I wanted to know if there has been prior experience with anybody and what happened to there decision was it revoked

Revoke admission happens every year, but the criteria would be different from school to school. That’s why you should call the college to find out ahead of time.

Some kids were ok, some were revoked. What happened to anybody doesn’t matter, only what’s going to happen to you. The mature thing to do is contact the school to check. If it will matter then perhaps there are alternatives such as summer school. Or you can choose plan B and assume what happened to some other people with different transcripts and stories who happened to be reading CC today will also happen to you. Or plan C which is wait until August when they review your final transcripts; of course if they decide to rescind you and you could have taken a summer class to prevent it, it will be too late.

It is time to get your college counselor involved, too. Perhaps that person can intervene with the PreCalculus teacher to figure out what you can do to salvage the grade. You still have a few weeks left of school, and the final to take, so there must be some points left to earn that could make a difference.

I recall a lot of kids posting getting revoked from UCs for a single D.

It’s only April - still time to get a tutor.

Get serious about the class, see the teacher every day after school if necessary, get a tutor if necessary. Bring the year end grade up to at least a C.
