Da Vinci Code

Have you seen it?

Do you beleive it is Fact or Fiction?

Well, I saw it tonight...it was..okay...

I suppose it might have helped if I had read the book and then followed up claims in the book with well regarded historians...

It might have helped if I had payed attention in Sunday school too...:p

It was ok. Nothing special, just catholics reacting to nothing. But then again, I think the entire bible is fake...

I saw it last Sunday. I thought it followed the book well enough. I'm glad they axed the romance cuz I'm not sure I could have stomached a passionate onscreen kiss between Tom Hanks and Audrey Tatou. I also thought Ron Howard managed the film pretty tactfully and hence really saw no reason for all that protesting. It's just a movie. Highlight of the film (and perhaps the only engrossing character) was Ian Mckellen...

I'm not exactly religious or anti-religious so the content was less controversial for me than it was vaguely interesting.

Lame book/movie. The way it was depicted I thought it was going to have more of an athiest message. But the ending is very christian. The movie was even lamer than the book.

ian mcklellan was amazing, as was the guy who played silas.

The guy who played Silas..as crazy as this sounds he was too "bright" for my eyes...it was his blonde hair...

yeah, did you know the guy who played Silas is the same guy from Wimbledon with Kirsten Dunst?

I have never seen Wimbledon sooo...=/

ah, well i thought he was attractive in that movie and to see him as THAT in the da vinci code was something else...:P

I looked him up...he is married to Jennifer Connelly, who was in Labyrinth (laugh I know...I love this movie).

I think he was in a movie with Russell Crowe...

Labyrinth, I keep on hearing about this but still have no idea what that is...gonna go look it up.

Labyrinth...a conglomeration of song, dance, 80's pop, big hair, David Bowie, and lots of "interesting camera angles"...

I forgot to add muppets...

silas was played by paul bettany. those were quite the ghostly blue eyes.

silas was played by the same guy from a beautiful mind

The Da Vinci Code is more or less as factual as the Bible.

LOL, Chuck Norris.

Paul Bettany did such a good job as Silas. That was the one reason I went to see the DVC. Englishmen playing albino killers intrigues me.

I agree with an above poster who said she was glad the romance was axed. I read Angels & Demons before DVC, and I was absolutely disgusted that this 40 year old professor had managed to sweep TWO already-stunning/drop dead gorgeous 20-something females off their feet (Vittoria and Sophie). It just didn't seem very realistic to me. I like the movie relationship (more fatherly, sweet kiss on her head) much better.

The cinematography was really good--I can say that for Ron Howard. Also, I felt they did a nice job trying to make concessions to the religious with the whole, "What matters is what you believe, isn't the human divine? Jesus was with me in that well, I tell you!"

I don't get the protesting. The last time I checked, there was freedom of speech in this country, but the incessant cries from some to pull the movie from theaters seems to overlook that fact.

Ian McKellan's performance was the best.

i really dont get why everyone is getting so mad about this. its fiction, for pete's sake. instead of boycotting a movie and screaming about it, they could serve Him better by giving money to say, a homeless shelter.

dIFFRENT STROKES DIFFRENT FOLKS!

Sly and the Family Stone!
