UM started last year this new DaVici Program. it's by invitation only..about 40 kids last year. Anybody here on CC who is part of the program and would love to share experiences? we first heard about it at Open House last Sunday and now got the invite. just wondering, sounded like an interesting program.

Son was invited but decided it was going to make his schedule too complicated.

D decided to give it a try. She thought of it as an opportunity to meet some other bright kids. She took one course each semester, one of which pertained to her major. I know one other student took two Da Vinci courses first semester. Personally I may be missing something but I really don’t see any big advantage with it especially for a premed (seems like most everyone) who may have many prerequisites to deal with. I guess it is OK for a Foote Fellow who has a more flexible schedule. It might look good by showing a well-rounded student when applying for a prestigious award.
